It's a flexpoint in the campaign how exactly her frozen heart manifests. Usually it's most effective when something's trying to take her over, and she just sort of... masks through it, or it gets replaced by her heart and emotions freezing up on her.
That said, there's a scene where she breaks angry in Fable of the Swan and attempts to fist-fight Death.
She loses, of course, but 1) holds him off long enough for the actual protagonist to realize the things she needs to do to make Answer to the Bleak, and 2) actually makes him flinch, AND, most importantly-- 3) lives to tell the tale.
