Link shrugs. He got the details on what it looked like, but no one actually bothered telling him the name. It's just the pretty leaf with the five points and blue veins. He's still learning the language too. Something which might be going a bit slower for him than for others. His tendency to fall back on non-verbal communication doesn't tend to help with that kind of learning.

It's at this point that Link decides to help with the leaves. And, as it turns out, his height isn't really the hindrance Id thought it was - because Link just casually climbs up one of the trees, pulling himself easily into the branches. From there, he can reach leaves much higher up.
