"Wow, you had classes you could go to back home too?" Donnie certainly looks amazed and intrigued by that. He knows he would have never had such an opportunity if he'd never been found by the Corsairs, but then prior to everything he also thought he'd been doing just fine learning things himself. It's eyeopening when you realize just how much about the world you don't know.
