[ It's hard work to try to undo the damage caused by the Empire, and as much experience as Nanami has had fighting threats and coordinating with allies to protect people in his own world, this is always a new experience. Even after spending time with the Corsairs himself, resistance efforts are a completely different struggle than anything he's faced before. He wasn't fighting an entire army to liberate captives and overthrow a system in Tokyo!
But he's finding ways to make things better, bit by bit. When the newly freed captives are brought to the mess hall, Nanami makes sure to make up plates to take to some of the more reserved and wary former servants, setting the food down in front of them when he sees someone hasn't retrieved a meal yet. As for explanations, he's not really that talkative, but he does eventually sit with the others to provide some company and guidance, and he can be found above deck in general, taking in the breeze and organizing some of the clean outfits to give to the others. ]
If you're going to ask if it gets easier: no, it doesn't.
ø THE VAULT ø
[ He's not necessarily there to teach. Nanami just likes the quiet and values the opportunity to learn himself. But when instructing others plays such an important part in keeping them all alive and ensuring the success of the next mission, he's willing to make an exception. He's more comfortable with weapons training, particularly melee combat, but subjects like reading the weather and the bit of language he's been picking up on are also possible lessons Nanami doesn't mind taking on practice partners for. It's easier to learn together than alone.
During breaks, he reads whatever is available. Anything he can get that he can piece together is acceptable, and some of it is actually relaxing.... he likes reading that much, yes. ]
Any talent is helpful? That's being too generous.
ø SEA SERPENT SLIDE ø
[ Of course the creature would choose this moment to try to sink the fleet. Even though he knows that sea serpents aren't sentient enough to actively plan their attacks, it does feel like this one in particular chose to get territorial right when Nanami was looking forward to a break.
As the chaos picks up, he sighs and gestures to the nearest other Corsair. ]
Can you fire a cannon?
[ ooc: Wildcard/random interactions also welcome. If you want to plot anything, you can PM or find me at teaaandreveries. I'm fine with establishing some baseline CR to kick things off if you want to do that. ]
