EVENT #11: WE RULE THE SEAS PLANNING

EVENT #11: WE RULE THE SEAS PLANNING
With the nobility of the Fallen Isles crushed or brought in line, the fleet of Flotsam has, for the first time since its inception, a permanent port. Working swiftly, they assemble and raise their new weapons - the Skysplitters - and point them toward the skies. The Empire is quick to react, as was anticipated, with two entire legions descending upon the Corsairs. As the Empire seems poised and confident of their victory and intend to make an example of the rebels, a tremendous sound echoes through the heavens as the Skysplitters fire, their reinforced steel rounds tearing through the sky at terrifying speed. As a strike hits, Imperial airships find their hull and deck torn apart, the crews scrambling to put out fires or abandon ship as they go down in flames.
While the Legions will be much diminished due to the overwhelming power of the Skysplitters, it still falls on the Corsairs to fend them off. The armors of the 8th Legion are difficult targets for the Skysplitters, but the Black Wings will be mostly decimated before they can assault Flotsam.
The following missions will go live on the 10th. Characters will be able to participate in one Critical and one Optional mission.
MISSIONS
Flight of the Black Wings: The Corsairs will need to repel the 4th Legion - the Black Wings Aerial Assault Squadron.
Priority: Critical
Recommended Roles: Combatants
Description: While most of the Black Wings are shot down by the thundering Skysplitters, some of the more skilled pilots will still make it into Flotsam airspace. The Corsairs must sortie to repel them before they can damage the fleet.
Stakes: This mission will require 2 participants to clear successfully, and 3 to complete with ideal circumstances. Any participating gods will be cursed.
Descent of the Steel Soldiers: The Corsairs will need to repel the 8th Legion - the Steel Soldiers Armored Combat Squadron
Priority: Critical
Recommended Roles: Combatants
Description: The Steel Soldiers are much smaller and more mobile, and are thus not as badly impacted by the Skysplitters. The Corsairs will need to mount a strong defense in order to repel them.
Stakes: This mission will require 3 participants to clear successfully, and 4 to complete with ideal circumstances. Any participating gods will be cursed.
Tend the Wounded: The Corsairs will need to keep a field hospital open to tend the many wounded from the battlefield.
Priority: Semi-Optional
Recommended Roles: Suppliers and Negotiators
Description: The Corsairs expect the injury toll to be high. Keeping an active field clinic will be crucial if they want to minimize casualties.
Stakes: This mission will require 2 participants to clear successfully, and 4 to complete with ideal circumstances.
Clip the Black Wings: The Corsairs will need to keep a field hospital open to tend the many wounded from the battlefield.
Priority: Optional
Recommended Roles: Infiltrators and Combatants
Description: Ewan Gringoire, the Captain of the Black Wings, is a peerless airship pilot. His custom frigate Orphan’s Lament is a black-sailed ship that is said to be the fastest in the sky, and it employs custom light cannons with a high rate of fire and an innovative reloading system that, when operated by his highly-skilled crew allows for near continuous fire. Boarding is next to impossible against the fastest ship in the Empire, so it will take a group of bold Corsairs to bring it down. An Airship will be supplied for this mission.
Stakes: This mission will be capped at 4 Participants, and 4 Participants will be required for success. Optimal circumstances will still result in Participant injury. Any participating gods will be cursed.
Shatter the Steel Soldier: The Corsairs will need to keep a field hospital open to tend the many wounded from the battlefield.
Priority: Optional
Recommended Roles: Infiltrators and Combatants
Description: Singe Madillon, leader of the Steel Soldiers, is a peerless Armor pilot. His true identity unknown, he wears a mask at all times and pilots a custom Feder Armor painted in a distinctive red. The Armor’s output is so great that it is said to be able to reach speeds three times that of a normal Armor. Taking him down will require a team of talented Corsairs, a lot of luck, and dogged will against impossible odds.
Stakes: This mission will be capped at 4 Participants, and 4 Participants will be required for success. Optimal circumstances will still result in Participant injury. Any participating gods will be cursed.

Shu is not good at mass airship / mecha battles so I'm looking at one of the optional VS fights if other people are interested. Also down to NPC one of those people if needed.

That said, I am flexible. If there's a prompt in need of more people, flying boy vs. flying enemy is a flying boy either way. lol
Atom can technically carry others, but is best as an option for carrying others away to safety, as a short-term option for lifting individuals between nearby ships, catching a falling individual, or even getting used to boost someone else's speed. He'll work fine with both those using armor or not.

This month's god-plot will take place after the battle. Those who are well enough to travel post-battle might be interested in joining him in investigating a small town's graveyard and searching for lost souls. (A scenario that might have been inspired by Lavender Town in Pokemon).

Other than that, I'm not planning to have him join either of the optional combat missions. But idk, maybe he could be a patient or something for Tending the Wounded?
