Event #18: ENDGAME PART 2/2
The Emperor's words have his loyal subjects anticipating a glorious battle and a grand victory celebration to follow. The Corsairs' words, on the other hand, have caught the attention of allies on all the isles. Quietly, the people prepare for the battle about to unfold and what feels like a last chance to take a stand.
Corsair leaders make a plan of attack. The Vault and the Lower Isles will lie in wait for the Imperial's arrival, while allies in the Upper Isles will attack the Imperial army from above after the fleets descend towards the ocean.
A group of the strongest Corsairs will use the cover of chaotic battle to attack the palace. Freeing Apollo could turn the tide in even the worst scenario, but the Emperor himself might intervene. Only those willing the face him are asked to go.
PLANNED MISSION LOGS
Surround the Imperial Army: The Generals lead their fleets down from the Upper Isles, with the most concentrated effort on Bavrecht where The Vault rests. The Corsairs and their allies are in one of two groups- those who hold steady and keep control of the Lower Isles, and those who will surprise attack the Imperials from above. Quirin, other generals, and high rank priests from the Church of the Divine, may be played by a log leader or shared between participating players.
Invade the Palace: The Honor Guard and some from the Church of the Divine are guarding the palace and the dungeon where Emery is being kept prisoner alongside other Corsairs. The Pope of the Divine is personally watching over Emery to make sure he cannot break his power suppression collar and escape. The Pope may be played by a log leader or shared between participating players.
The Emperor: Before the Corsairs can leave the palace, the Emperor rushes back to his throne to confront them. A small group of Corsairs must face him while the others either free Emery or take over the palace and overwhelm the Emperor. Serious injury is guaranteed, and death may occur for PCs in this battle. The Emperor will be played via the mod account.

Player character strength is at 3x cannon balls for the final events.

Boss Battles In an effort to keep things simple, we are limiting how many prompts involve NPCs in need of a log leader to play. That said, the strongest of the empire are present for this battle. While the Corsairs are stronger and can wipe out typical soldiers with ease, it would be fitting to include particularly challenging opponents in threads. Players are welcome to make up their own skilled enemy NPCs to supplement.
"What if only 1 or 2 players besides the mods end up participating?" Kristine will be running the events as previously scheduled as long as someone shows up to participate.
"What if I'm not done with my threads by the end of February?" You are welcome to continue as long as you and your thread partners wish. We're not clearing out our members at the end of the month.
"What happens next month?" Next month's posts will set up the sandbox version of the setting and serve as an epilogue to the game's story. Participation is optional and open to all, including new players and new characters once the "sandbox mode" is established.

I'm still deciding which of my 2 guys to possibly pit against the Emperor. I'm open to the preference of other players.

He will be shielding the Corsairs and can take action against the Imperials who set foot on the Lower Isles. It will take a lot of energy so please bring him some food/water.
He will accompany the team to the Palace in hopes of saving Emery, as his senses can help locate him and his throne room could be an easy way to exit or at least get Emery out.
If he faces the Emperor, he will be cursed, but he is a powerful option regardless. (Emery's player agreed that he'd hell Matt's curse later if he can survive the battle.) I'm still choosing between Matt or Atom to potentially face the Emperor, and am open to others' preferences.
