ABOUT ME: What'd I put here last time... It hasn't changed. Hi! I draw mostly Turtles, have a mild problem with fountain pens and ink, and work at a bookstore in the stationery department, which has nothing to do with the aforementioned problem. Oh! And I also like writing, I guess.

CHARACTER BLURB: Slightly less rabid than his OU self, Donnie's still very much fascinated and experienced with technology (albeit to the standards of this setting) and more open to magic since its integration is as much a part of things in this world as breathing. He loves to learn things and develop new and more useful designs for equipment and weapons. His current pet projects include restoring a Commander-Class Feder and getting the cow smell out of a stolen air sloop. The lad is a melee fighter specializing in staves, but he's been working at integrating his own brand of magic into things.
DESIRED CR: Open to anything! Always happy to have people he can look up to, which isn't hard if they give him Attention. Family-figures are always welcome, mentors and friends. But I'm not afraid of negative CR either if that's your preference!
OFFERED CR: Need someone to whip up something customized for you, particularly of the technical sort? Look no further! He's not too bad at weapons-crafting either, and if you want a more portable ENC then he's your turtle...kin.

CHARACTER BLURB: Tau is a kodama, or at least a hybrid, being part tree spirit and part planetouched. His true body is a tree located deep in the forests of Larendt, but due to his planetouched-side, he's able to exist away from it. The human form he wears is a guise, and while he doesn't look it, he's actually quite strong and can be a ferocious fighter. His affinity to nature makes him knowledgeable in plants and herbs, and he specializes in healing and plies his skills as a medic, although depending on the situation, his bedside manner can be something to be of want.
DESIRED CR: Anything! Gimmee.
OFFERED CR: Need someone to patch you up or yell at you for being reckless? Or....I don't know, make your overwatered plant get better...
FUTURE PLANS: Just dipping his toes in so I have nothing really in mind. I've considered some mischief in Larendt (this is before planning started involving anything there XD) but nothing just yet.

CHARACTER BLURB: This rather large mutant turtle is a (self-proclaimed) hero who is passionate about helping the people of New York City by fighting crime or protecting them from bigger, badder dangers that could possibly destroy the world. Smashing things to pieces used to be his main go-to answer for problems, but he has since then figured out other ways to resolve them. That doesn't mean smashing and punching is out of the question, however.

DESIRED CR: I'm open to most things! I am trying to think of details, but my brain is dead.

CHARACTER BLURB: Introducing our first god character! Matthias Meerdock has inherited the title of Hades and can help with any of your character's death-related questions.

Matt is a native AU character who in life was blinded at nine, nearly became an assassin for a cult, and instead became a private investigator in adulthood, taking advantage of his super senses and working with a trusted sighted partner. (There are no lawyers in the Empire.) He died in an attack by the Empire on the secret shrine to the Old Gods where he worshipped, but has been reborn after accepting the title of Hades.
He is blind with no sensitivity to light so don't bother asking him about what color curtains to choose if you don't want a wise guy answer.

Please take a moment to check Matt's powers permissions post and let me know what's cool for you and your character re: Matt's super senses, lie detection, and god powers and/or add some details about your character's typical smell, sounds, or feel.

DESIRED CR: I'm open to pretty much anything! Positive, negative, confusion- it's all good!

OFFERED CR: -Matt's powerset and reflective personality make him an insightful type. He could be a source of advice or someone who challenges your character to be better. Alternatively, maybe his advice is well intended but not what your character wants to hear.
-If your character is going to die, have a close brush with death, or has a close connection with death, Matt might notice that they're marked by death.

FUTURE PLANS: This month will be dedicated to introductions and Old Gods story time. Next month the god plots begin! Remember you can earn a Divine Gambit for participation.

Ilphyl can have complicated feelings about gods, but they also see part of their job as 'interface between people and the divine, if there isn't a cleric around'. (And it beats hoping that whatever they are doing for the gods of their own world translates.)

I feel like there could potentially be some interesting stuff to explore with Matt and Link, particularly since Link is both someone who has Been Dead and has some very strong divine connections

As mentioned, Harlock is basically cloaked in death thematically (as elaborated in permissions). And his stance on gods is essentially 'if they exist I don't care' or 'knife fight', so that could be some some friction.

As for insightfulness, he can be both appreciative and also annoyed depending on context.

CHARACTER BLURB:
Born just over a century ago as the planestouched daughter of a distant branch the Imperial family, in her first few decades of life Maleficent used a combination of political maneuvering and the crafting of cruel and brutal ether-curses to gather power around herself. She never married or bore children, but she nonetheless became the undisputed matriarch of a branch of the Imperial family, gaining the title of Duchess.

But she always ruled over the branch, and never the main tree. Her public face has always been that of an obedient power behind the throne; a trusted advisor and devoutly loyal imperial family member. To the enemies of the imperial throne - any do any who dare cross her or simply displease her - Maleficent is a figure to be feared. Because Maleficent, as they say, delivers fates that are worse than death.

All sorts! I’m a big fan of tossing characters together and seeing what happens.

Link is always good for:

• you have a Quest Task, and you need some random guy to do it for you
  
• marveling at the wonders of video game inventory insanity
  
• sparring buddies / fighting buddies / just any kind of warrior buddying up, really

Link has just regained the ability to use Ascend, so naturally this means that no ceiling is safe.

He's worn a lot of hats in his life: mercenary, military commander, engineer, adopted father, outlaw trying to tear down society as he knows it. Oh, and did I mention he has a thunder god in his veins?

CHARACTER BLURB: A prodigy blood mage/assassin king turned Chaos god (on purpose) who tried to make the enemy's secret weapon fall in love with him so he could manipulate her only to catch feels himself. Morally ambiguous, arrogant, and would sell his best friend for a corn chip. He's also an artist (you'll need to get to social rank 8 for that reveal) and an anxious boy who bites his cuticles until they bleed (that'll be social rank 9)
DESIRED CR: Enemies! Friends? Family! Research assistants! Fellow nerds! Magic people! Okay, I don't really have any specific desires, I love all kinds of CR
OFFERED CR: A guy to make you question why you hang out with him, but also a guy who can probably figure out a way to get you both out of whatever situation you end up in, but will he help you too? Who knows! Again, though, I'm down for anything. You can also have a guy who is willing to do whatever it takes to get a mission done without much call for thought about bystanders.
FUTURE PLANS: Malachiasz has only recently reacquired his soul and the Empire promptly chewed him up and spit him out. He's starting to develop "friend feelings" for someone, meaning nothing romantic at all, but he likes her, and he's not sure what to do with it. I would like to continue making him uncomfortable.
